drinks

(Note: If you’re making it yourself and you don’t have anything to measure with, don’t sweat it, just experiment.)

Blue Kamikaze

Powerful and tropical, the Blue Kamikaze is classic drink with a twist.

  • 1 oz. vodka
  • 1 oz. Blue Curacao Liqueur
  • 1 oz. lime juice

Mind Eraser

Who doesn’t need a mind reset every now and again?

  • 1 oz. vodka
  • 1 oz. coffee liqueur
  • 1 oz. soda water
  • 1 lime wedge for garnish

Chocolate Cake Shot

Mix equal parts Frangelico and Absolute Citron and pour in to a shot glass. Immediately after shooting it, chase it with a sugar-coated wedge of lemon? Now, tell me that don’t taste like a rich and creamy slice of chocolate cake?

  • 1/2 oz. Frangelico
  • 1/2 oz. Absolute Citron
  • 1 Lemon wedge
  • Sugar (on the rim of glass)

Flaming Dr. Pepper

Take 3 parts of Amaretto and 1 part of Bacardi 151 or Everclear and pour it into a shot glass, but don’t mix the two liquors. Instead you want to pour the Bacardi or Everclear over the top of the Amaretto. Then, light the shot on fire, drop the shot glass into a cup of beer and chug away. Mmmmmm, Dr. Pepper. You can also take it without dropping it in beer, just don’t forget to put out the fire first. The searing pain of alcohol burns and being beat in the face with shirts by your now shirtless friends is something no one wants to experience.

  • 3/4 shot Amaretto
  • 1/4 shot Bacardi 151 or Everclear (on top of Amaretto)
  • Beer (optional)

Long Island Iced Tea

Spring Break Bars sometimes have their own versions of Long Islands Iced Teas, but here are the basics ingredients to this classic drink. Take equal parts of Vodka, Gin, Rum, Tequila and Triple Sec with orange juice.  Top it off with a Coke and plant a lemon wedge onto the rim of the glass. Classic hammered time!

  • 1.5 oz. Vodka
  • 1.5 oz. Gin
  • 1.5 oz. Rum
  • 1.5 oz Triple Sec
  • 1 tsp. Tequilla
  • 2 tsp. orange juice
  • 2 oz. Coke or Pepsi
  • 1 Lemon Wedge (garnish)

Mojito:

Take 2 limes, about 4 or 5 fresh mint leaves, a teaspoon of sugar and a dash of bitters. Now, very gently, muddle the drink. You don’t want to rip and tear the leaves.  Next, fill your glass with ice and add (1.5-2 oz.) of a clear Rum like Bacardi Superior. Finally, top it off with a splash of club soda and garnish with a lime.
